The purpose of an oil reservoir is to receive and hold oil coming from the oil separators. This oil is held in the reservoir until the compressors need it. Depending on the system design, when the compressors need more oil, the stored oil will be sent to either the suction line or to an oil management device attached to each compressor. The Temprite model RES7 and RES17 oil reservoirs, both for transcritical CO2, each have 3/4” FPT threaded ports for insertion of oil level sensors.
Temprite’s oil reservoirs are compatible with traditional refrigerants, hydrocarbon refrigerants, and natural refrigerants including carbon dioxide (CO2) [R-744] and Ammonia (NH3) [R-717].
