Temprite adds new vertical suction accumulators to its product lines for refrigeration systems. A suction accumulator is used to prevent a damaging overflow of liquid refrigerant and oil from going back to the compressor. It does this by metering the rate at which liquid refrigerant and oil are returned to the compressor, by heating the liquid to a gas. Each suction accumulator has one ODS inlet and one ODS outlet connection, and a threaded female pipe port. The female port is for the customer to install an over-pressure safety-relief device of his choosing.

Temprite Vertical Suction Accumulators accommodate nearly all refrigerants: (See chart)
The two smaller Vertical Suction Accumulators (Model’s SA4-10 and SA6-15) have a bottom mounting stud, and are UL listed. The two larger Vertical Suction Accumulators (Model’s SA8-20 and SA10-25) are designed, fabricated, and stamped per ASME Section VIII. These two larger models are installed with fixed mounting feet.
